When our bookstore closes for the day, we go home to
relax with a cup of tea and, what else, a good book!

This is just the beginning of a list of recommended reading,
books that have stayed in our memory through the years,
and books that have made an impression.  These are not
reviews, but simply meant as a starting place if you are
looking for some interesting reading material.

The Bible: Always a great source of inspiration, comfort, and
guidance.  We should probably pick this one up more often!

Left Behind (the series) by Tim Lahaye and Jerry B. Jenkins:
If you think you don't want to read a "religious" book or series,
then read this for the adventure!  Be sure to begin with the first
book; you won't want to miss any of this trip.  There are 12
books in the series, each one a page-turner.

Stones from the River by Ursula HegiThis is one of the best books
we have ever read.  Sometimes said to be difficult to get into, we
found it riveting from the first page and hated to see it end.

A Map of the World by Jane Hamilton: You may not feel much
sympathy for Alice, the main character, but you will almost
certainly feel empathy for her situation.  We describe this
book as a "horror" story, not with ghosts or monsters, but
with real-life situations which might happen to any of us.

(As time permits, we will add more of our favorites.)
