Though I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, and have not LOVE, I am become as a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.
And if I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not LOVE, I am nothing.
And if I give all my goods to feed the poor, and if I give my body to be burned, and have not LOVE, it profits me nothing.
LOVE is patient, and is kind; LOVE is not jealous or boastful; it is not arrogant or rude. LOVE does not insist on its own way; is not easily provoked, irritable or resentful, thinks no evil. LOVE does not rejoice at wrong, but rejoices in the right.
LOVE bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
LOVE never fails, but where there are prophecies, they shall fail; where there are tongues, they shall cease; where there is knowledge, it shall vanish away.
And now abides faith, hope, LOVE, these three; but the greatest of these is LOVE.
