Looks like Grandma Lyn is cooking for company
today....these recipes are rich and yummy!

VEGETABLE CASSEROLE

16-20 ounce package frozen mixed vegetables
1 cup chopped celery
1 medium onion, chopped fine
1 cup grated Velveeta cheese
1 cup mayonnaise
1 tube Ritz crackers, crushed
1 stick butter or margarine, melted

Cook vegetables according to directions on package and
drain. Mix with celery, onion, cheese, and mayonnaise. Put in
buttered casserole dish and top with crushed crackers. Drizzle
melted butter over top and bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees.

GRANDMA LYN'S NOTE: This is REALLY GOOD!

BUTTER PECAN CAKE

This is the easiest, moistest, richest, "bestest" cake ever,
and it doesn't need icing. Grandma Lyn always has one or
two flavors in her freezer for unexpected company.

1 package butter pecan cake mix
4 eggs
3/4 cup oil
1 cup water
1 tablespoon vanilla
1 can coconut pecan frosting

Mix cake mix, eggs, oil, water, and vanilla. Add frosting and mix
well. Bake in well-greased Bundt pan 50-55 minutes at 350 degrees.
Let stand 10-15 minutes, then turn onto rack to cool.

GRANDMA LYN'S NOTE: Can be made with other flavor mixes,
but always use the coconut pecan frosting; this is what makes
it so moist. Pineapple deluxe and dark chocolate are excellent.
Banana or even plain yellow butter cake mix works great. Also
makes a great CARROT CAKE (drizzle with HALF a can of cream
cheese frosting when cool. Freezes great for months.
