A VERY SPECIAL TREE
"Hi, Pooh, whatcha doin'," said Tigger, bouncing up to Pooh.

"I'm trying to decorate a Christmas tree for Grandma Lyn's Playroom,"
said Pooh.  "What do you think of it?"

"Oh, no!" said Tigger.  "It is crooked and skinny and funny-looking.
It would NEVER make a good Christmas tree."

"Well," said Pooh, "perhaps you're right.  But I think I will try
anyway.  It is a nice little tree."
Just then Piglet came along, and saw the tree.
"Oh, Pooh," said Piglet, "what a strange-looking
tree.  I thought you were looking for a Christmas
tree for Grandma Lyn's Playroom!"

"Yes," said Pooh, "and I think I've found it."

"But a Christmas tree is supposed to be big
and beautiful," said Piglet.

"I think this tree has POSSIBILITIES," said Pooh
quietly.  "It is very special in its own way."
Others from the Playroom gathered around the tree.  "Perhaps," said
Miss Kitty, "we can help Pooh decorate the tree."  "Yes," said Elmo,
"we will ALL help Pooh with the tree."  And so they did.
Soon everyone was gathered around the tree with their ornaments.
Tweety Bird flew around and around the tree carrying the end of a
string of lights in his beak.  Each Playroom friend added more decorations.
And finally, Puff the Magic Dragon, who was the tallest of all, put the
gold star at the very top.
As they all stepped back to look at the tree again, they all agreed
with Pooh. . .the tree was INDEED very special!  The little horses
pulled the tree to Grandma Lyn's home, and everyone helped to
put it in the Playroom.  Grandma Lyn was SO happy to see the
beautiful tree in the Playroom!  "Thank you all," said Grandma Lyn,
"for this wonderful tree.  It shows what great things can happen
when everyone works together!  And now, come to my
kitchen, where I have cocoa and cookies for everyone!"
