| "TEAS" (with apologies to Joyce Kilmer) I think that I shall never see A sweeter time than taking tea. Our nicest frocks we always wear, And pretty ribbons in our hair. We smile and wish each one good day, And then we bow our heads to pray. And when our hungry mouths are pressed Against a muffin, Grandma's best, And buttered with the silver knives, We sip our tea, and share our lives. Poems are made by fools like me, But thank you, God, for making TEA. --Grandma Lyn, 2000 |
